I won!!

Around 8 pm yesterday, was preparing dinner listening to dhoomfm. For those who dont know, dhoomfm is a local desi 24/7 radio station.

So anyway, the anchor was promoting a movie and asked the listeners a question "where was the title song of Singh is Kingh shot?" I knew the answer and quickly picked up the phone to call, 20 seconds later she announced on the radio that I had won a cd of the movie. YAYYYY!!!

I thought that was pretty quick...The anchor din't even wait for the program to end to announce the name, probably I was the only caller!!!

UPDATE: 5th Aug - I was told that someone from dhoomfm would contact me in 2 days....Its been more than 3 weeks but no news...so i guess it was all fake...sigh!!

Its raining movies..

Hey friends, Sorry for being away so long. Was experiencing problems logging into my account, I thought it was because of the third party template that I was using, so one fine day after few trials, I was able to login and changed the template immediately. Next day, the same problem persisted. So after a long time I tried today and viola, succeeded..

Anyways, from last couple of weeks, it has been raining movies at my place. Why ypu may ask? Here's why...

During childhood, my parents would keep me away from watching any telugu movies. Apparently they felt the movies had "vulgar" dialogues and songs were quite "provocative". Well, I can't agree with them more because in 90's most of the movies were like THAT. In this bargain, I lost out on watching some golden classics.

For a long time now, K had been pestering me to watch couple of telugu movies and finally last week I agreed. We started with "Shankarabharanam", it was such a lovely story, the songs, just divine. I wanted more, so next was "SwarnaKamalam" and "Sruthilayalu". All I said after watching there movies was "Wow"...I have fallen in love with K.Vishwanath movies. Can't wait to watch more...Am glad I heeded to K's
requests.

Well, since last weekend was telugu movies extravaganza, it was turn for hindi movies this week. To kick start the weekend, had an early dinner and cuddled up to watch Rekha/Rajesh Roshan starrer "Khoobsurat". Next was Amol Palekar's Golmaal. Ended the weekend with Dharmendra/Sharmila Tagore's Chupke chupke. Though I have watched all these Hrishikesh Mukherjee's movies umpteen number of times, i just cant get enough of them. Can never get bored of these movies.

With heat sweltering at upper 90s, what better way to beat the heat..This is my idea of a relaxing weekend.
